Dr. Stephanie Goichman, DACM, L.Ac., MSTOM
Stephanie Goichman is a New York state licensed acupuncturist and board certified Chinese herbalist with a masters and doctorate degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Her experience has included work at Columbia University Health Services, NYU Lutheran Labor and Delivery, Housing Works, and Pacific College Wellness Center. She traveled to China to study advanced acupuncture techniques at the International Acupuncture Training Center, an institute recognized by the World Health Organization, and completed clinical rounds at the TCM Hospital of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Beijing.
Over the years Stephanie has continued to sharpen her skills in Integrative medicine including a fellowship and subsequent employment with the esteemed fertility acupuncture expert Victoria Koos where she was able to broaden her knowledge of treating women’s health and IVF/IUI assisted fertility.
She holds certification in Michelle Gellis’ Facial Acupuncture Rejuvenation and Gua Sha & Cupping Facial Therapy, using holistic techniques to restore and support skin health and aging well.
Stephanie is passionate and kind with a wholehearted approach that puts patients at ease. She enjoys treating a variety of conditions. Her main focus is women’s health including all issues dealing with menstruation, fertility, pregnancy support, menopause, emotional and spiritual wellness, pain relief, and digestive disorders.
Stephanie is a native New Yorker who spent her childhood Summers in Puerto Rico on her uncle’s farm, having access to freshly harvested fruits, herbs and vegetables where she learned early on that nature is medicine. She then merged her interest in medicine and science into a career as a reporter for national public radio covering women’s health. Later, her passion for natural remedies led her to Chinese medicine and its holistic approach to health care.
She loves her work and believes patient education is key to creating lasting health and she will work with you to create a thoughtful and comprehensive treatment plan.
When not at Eastgate, Stephanie can be found biking, hiking and making art.
